Relais Maddalena Camere In Roma

This is not a hotel but more so an apartment with a very disrespectful front desk clerk that was probably the rudest and most unprofessional hospitality personnel I’ve ever encountered in all my travels. Her name was Monica and truly a very unwelcoming host. She was unable to assist us with multiple simple requests. I do not recommend the hotel to families or anyone seeking a friendly environment!

We only stayed one night, but it’s the perfect base in Rome — you’re legitimately about a 20-second walk from the Pantheon. I also have to give a shoutout to Monica for her hospitality during check-in. She was awesome and gave us some great food recommendations that were non-touristy, much less crowded and MUCH better experiences just around the corner. She even went ahead and took care of booking our taxi to the airport the next morning. She couldn’t have been more hospitable, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll absolutely be back!

We stayed in the Junior Studio Suite - 2 Bedroom. Location, location, location. Absolutely best spot! Around the corner from the Parthenon. Walking distance to just about everything in Rome. My family of 5 loved our authentic lodging and location. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. We arrived early and they gratefully stored our luggage for us until check in time and gave us waters as it was so hot. Breakfast was authentic and locally made pastries and quiche. Stairs: You do have to go up one large flight of stairs with your luggage. Room: A bottle of wine greeted us in our room and it had a mini fridge in it as well. Only downside of room was it says 2 bedrooms but there was no door between the two rooms. It was a bit tight for 5 people. (Note family of 5 with youngest 15) Hard having 5 people get ready with no privacy. Also just one bathroom. (Looked back was only advertised as one bathroom but think I missed that) . Overall: Great location, wonderful staff and authentic lodgings- would stay again!
