Recently, my family and I traveled from Paris to Rome. We wanted to stay in an apartment and checked out Friendly Rental Holiday Apartments. I would not recommend this facility. First, they require CASH IN EUROS for your balance UPON ARRIVAL. I booked the apartment with a credit card but they wanted me to bring 718£ for the balance. Plus you have to pay a $200 damage deposit (refundable) and a $50 cleaning fee (not refundable). Since our family was in Paris (we're Americans) I couldn't get 718£ in cash before traveling to Rome. I asked for a waiver to this policy and pay the entire balance including fees with the same credit card they accepted for the deposit..their answer was NO! They get you by not including these terms upfront but give you a link to review all of the terms and this is buried in the terms. I lost the security deposit and had to find another place to stay. Valuable lesson read all of the terms! They didn't even mention needing cash in our email correspondence until the deposit was made. I suspect this us how they rip folks off. They aren't very Friendly.
