We arrived after 6 hours by train. I ring the doorbell and no one answers. I call the owner and she replies that the room is no longer available. He left us stranded during the August holidays. Zero professionalism and incorrectness at the highest levels. I was hesitant when I booked, I had to listen to my instincts. For me they deserve to never work again.

Budget friendly, again you get what you pay for. Transportation was within walking distance. The rooms are in the basement but if you are there to just sleep its ok. Eating places within close distance as well.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Rome on a budget then this is not a bad option. We found Melanie and Alex very helpful in arranging transport. The room is in the basement so is naturally quite cool. We did have a problem with the shower but I understand Melanie has since fixed this. It's a 5-10 minute talk to Manzoni metro and you can walk to the Colesseum in about 20 minutes. There is a coffee machine and some snacks for breakfast or alternatively a friendly and cheap 24-hour cafe 100m down the road. If you are in this area also check out Trattoria da Danilo - it was the best meal we had in Rome.
