Sogni d'oro

We booked this place because it looked nice on the pictures and location was good. Says check in is till 22:00, we arrived around 18:00 and there was nobody at the reception. We had to call the ownr/manager who finally arrived and told us we didnt say anything what time we're gonna arrive. Sorry but if there is no info we should let them now why to demand this since check in is till 22:00. Secondly - when we arrived we learned from the guy we have to pay 36euro extra for cleaning. There was nothing like this saying on the internet, either booking nor their webpage. Moreover it says on booking you can pay with card there which apparently you can't. We had to change money specially for this reason. The next thing is it was said on the description rooms are sound proof. SURE! With a huge holes where you can see the light on the corridor. First of all it was cold and secondly you cant have privacy for yourself and if someone is passing the corridor it sounds like elephants are having a walk :/ Furniture was all dusty, not clean at all. Another thing is they have jacuzzi there but guess what... it doesnt work. Surprised? Me not. But the reason why is... they don't have the stopper in the tub. The only good thing about this place was location but im not reccomending this place to anyone.

Nice hotel in Rome, near San Giovanni area. It is very clean and the rooms are big enough. Good italian breakfast, there is enough food even if you are late. The receptionists are nice people, who like talking with the customers and are always trying to help. The suite is nice, but there is no window. There is a big Jacuzzi bathtube, but the the bathtube plug is missing and apparently cannot be used. Recommended for a short stay in Rome, it is not in the historical centre but in a good position to visit the town. Excellent price/quality ratio.
