Sweet Life Guest House

This guest house is near the colosseum and is very close to Termini station, only a 10 minute walk. When you get to the hotel, you have to pass through a small door to get inside. It was a very beautiful building with a somewhat scary elevator, which you have to take to the 5th floor. There was a guy waiting for me to check in and he was very kind. My room was very small. It fits a bed and a small fridge, but that's pretty much you need on vacation. I thought the room was very clean, but it could do with a few touchups. Like a new toiletbrush and new showerheads. The thing I didn't like about the room was that the showers had almost no water pressure and that the temperature of the water was either scorching hot or freezing cold. And if you had the right temperature for a few seconds, the water got really cold again and it takes a while to get hot and then warm again. They should really take a look at that.

Unfortunately our experience was completely different than the ones I ready before booking. First of all we stayed outside waiting for the girl who did our checkin for at least 30 minutes, we had to go the a near hotel and ask them kindly to call the contact number to see what was going on. They asked what time our flight would be arriving but they were not there. We also had a problem during booking because we requested to pay the stay when we get there and not charge our credit card, they accepted but they charged our card and during checkin the lady asked us to pay for the stay like we agreed and I had to tell her that the charged in our card. We stayed in the BLU (Blue) Room and it was all organized but when we got to the bathroom there was a sign on one of the light switches saying “DO NOT TOUCH DO NOT TOUCH”, so we didn’t. But we had two short circuits during our stay, one when we turn their blow dryer on and the second time when we turn the light on. We had to request help from one of the guests to call the Guesthouse Responsible when that happened because we didn’t have a sim card, so she did and instead of them going to the place for help with this issue, they instructed the guest to do some things to see IF it would work. It was a long phone call. Also, I was feeling really bad because of an allergy and I couldn’t actually see because everything looked clean and nice but in the last day when I was packing everything I saw under the bed a thick layer of dirt, so they clean only the parts that the guests would easily see. Last thing, if you have a light sleep I don’t recommend because you can hear other guests steps and other apartments noises. Some pictures above. Location and bed were good.

Stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't have been happier. Warm welcome on arrival, comfortable room and some nice things left out for breakfast. Guest house was within walking distance to most of the major sites and some good restaurants. Only recommended thing to improve would perhaps be a fresh coat of paint on the bedroom walls. Would definitely consider staying again.
