Great location, close to Termini, which makes it easy to take metro to various places. The place is located on 2nd floor. Rooms are decent, Stefania & Gianni are great help and have lots to offer in terms of their local knowledge of places to go, eat, day-trips you name it. Breakfast is at a cafe down the bldg where you can pick croissants & coffee (options). The cafe also offers other food at a price. Theirs a supermarket just ahead of this cafe.

It is a special place. It is a huge old building and it must have been the creme de la creme in the old days. The elevator is briljant and I guess from somewhere in 1900. The room was okay and the bathroom too except that the showeringspace is so small you could not even turn. But the fact that the hotel is very near everything you want to see in Rome makesnit all okay. Breakfast is chaos and nothing tastes good but its alright. Who cares, you are in Rome and the staff is super friendly. Dont expect any luxury just a good bed and a ok bathroom and you will be alright. The room is cleaned up every day and you get new towels. So its perfectly okay. It has its charm to stay in this hotel of faded glory.

The hotel staff don’t speak English at all, so not good for tourists. For example, French people coming here spoke English to the staff and they didn’t understand. There was one solitary maid for the hotel and she was very short with people. I had a leaky toilet and the bathroom stunk of sewage, I reported this and nothing happened. The rooms were boiling hot and the air con didn’t work. The plug sockets were hanging off the wall and the fridge was broken. The showers are pathetic, only good for hobbits as you will end up scratching your back and shoulders on the walls of the shower. Everything feels cheap. The breakfast is pure sugar and the service is terrible. The hotel is also not as close to any attractions as it would seem. Not good at all for people who aren’t fit or who are disabled. Everything requires a minimum 20 minute walk, most things 30-40 minutes or a bus. Very outdated and wouldn’t recommend. Also there were screaming children and seemingly a party going on in the rooms next door every night, which the staff didn’t do anything about. I didn’t give one star purely because you still have a bed to sleep in and a bathroom that is just about useable, even though the toilet is crammed in between the shower and sink so you have to sit cramped. Oh and something I almost left out, the toilet doesn’t flush, you have to push the button about 20 times and when it finally does drain water goes everywhere.
