Vatican Holiday B&B

I had a room booked and paid for in this hotel for two nights. My plane was delayed, then I spent two hours at passport control, and because of the strikes in Rome, there's another hour on the bus line. I ended up arriving at the hotel late at night. The door was closed. I got off the phone, but they told me they couldn't help me because I arrived after 6 p.m. No one can come and move me in. Email warning them they turned out to send me when I was on the plane. I was left alone in the dark at night in a strange town. Thank goodness I managed to work out the emergency check-in at another hotel. But it was really the scariest night of my life. It's the most disgusting hotel without any service and no human relationship with customers. I don't advise anyone.

⸻ Positive note: the property is conveniently located, a few steps from Ottaviano Metro Station, and the room is air-conditioned. Otherwise, the experience was disappointing. The room was extremely small, with a double bed and an additional unused folding bed, covered in dust and simply cluttered. The general cleaning left much to be desired: the electrical outlets were not well fixed to the wall. The toilet flush was working with difficulty and the shower was in decidedly unacceptable condition. Hot water was almost absent, as if another guest was using the shower in another room at the same time, it was no longer available. In addition, pieces of rust and other unidentified residue were leaking from the shower stall. Unfortunately, in light of the above, I would not recommend this property.

Clean but........ Old structure, small room, small bathroom, indecent shower, cobwebs in the corners of the roof, exposed electrical wires, unprotected electrical sockets, dirty and peeling wallpaper, the only positive note is the staff and the location. I honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Too expensive.
