It had a toilet, a bed, a shower, closet, sheets and Wi-Fi. It was very modest and seemed to have a religious touch. What was missing for me as a traveller were sockets to charge my devices. I had to climb on a table and unplug the TV for it. The staff seemed nice and the breakfast again was modest, but the staff was friendly, again. You can reach it via public transport, but it seems quite hidden. Not bad for the price altogether.

Upon entering the hotel we surmised that it might have been a monastery in a previous life. The rooms were large but astaire. The bathrooms were dark and not very functional. The beds were all twin beds and very hard. If you like a firm bed this is the hotel for you. The rooms were very spacious and airy. They were cool in the Roman afternoon. The floors were made of marble although I question when was the last time they were swept much less scrubbed with soap and water. The hotel was very quiet and dark so it was good for sleeping.
The breakfast was very plain and more suitable for a nun than for tourist looking forward to a day touring Rome. We always had to stop for additional food before going on with our daily tours.
The staff serviceable and quiet and the only time they really spoke to or addressed you in any way was when they were collecting the hotel charges. There was no laundry facilities on or away from the hotel. The wifi was offered but not strong so it was best to not log on unless absolutely necessary. They had a computer but it did not work. There was no comfortable place to sit or read if you had the inclination.

This hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but for the price it was worth it. To get into the city from there you can either walk a block or two and get the bus, or walk aomost 20 minutes to the nearby metro (Conca D'Oro). I honestly suggest during high tourist times to just take the metro, as the buses are so crowded you can't move. Combined with the heat, it is not a very good option.
For the hotel, each time you want to get in, you will buzz the front desk from the gate, and they will open it up for you. You take your key and go up to your room. When leaving each day, you leave the key with them. A little weird, but at least it's very secure.
The rooms are very basic, nothing special, but cleaned well and with adequate toiletries. There's a courtyard in the back of the hotel if you feel like relaxing there for a bit.
Most of the people at the front desk don't seem to know much English, so it can be a bit awkward when checking in, but otherwise you don't really need to have much contact with them, so it's fine.
Breakfast was a good way to start the day. It's downstairs one flight and has coffee, orange juice, croissants, bread, butter, cream cheese. So not a heavy breakfast, but a nice light meal to get started on a day of sightseeing.
The biggest problem we encountered with the hotel was that their WiFi was really bad. Most days it would not work, which can be a bit frustrating when we wanted to look up train times or whether our flight had changed.
