Where do I begin? Traveling with my husband and teenaged son so we had the family executive suite which was beyond perfect. Quiet, private, comfy, and two beds/two baths. AC worked great during a terrible heat wave. The hotel was a refuge and respite from hot and crowded Rome. The breakfast in the garden was fabulous (I’m vegan and they had plenty of options to make the buffet worthwhile). Staff were so helpful and kind across the board, helping with restaurants and taxis, making everything seamless. The hotel exudes history and beauty. Also, for the location, rooms, service, etc, the price was quite good. We will definitely be back! So, so glad I trusted the reviews and booked DCS. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

The facility is exquisitely maintained. The staff is courteous and proficient in multiple (at least 2) languages. The location is less than 8 minutes walk from restaurants and shops, and it seems to be a neighbourhood populated by 20-30 year olds, dates, couples, families with children as well as the tourists one expects in July and August. The breakfast is hearty and plentiful, the cappuccino is delicious as is the black coffee and they have oat milk which was a bonus! The bar keepers make a nice Aperol Spritz and a nice margarita which is my go to remedy for a stubborn summer cold. The water pressure is good, the towels and linens are what you expect of an establishment of this repute. The lunches we have enjoyed here have been of high standards, my burger was perfect (sometimes after a couple of weeks on the road, you just need a good old hamburger and fries) and the other Roman dishes were reported by members of our party to be delicious and plentiful. When we stepped out for dinner and needed a taxi, it arrived in 4 minutes and the drivers to and fro were excellent, spoke english and helped us with our knowledge of Italian and Roman history. It would be easy to make Donna Camilla Savelli your home away from home in Rome.

The location, the attentive staff, the beauty of the decor, the cuisine. Everything is more than perfect!
