As written in the title, there are some very positive aspects to this hotel and others that I did not like or that even left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth.
If I describe my stay chronologically, I want to immediately highlight the helpfulness, professionalism, and kindness of the staff. Another positive point is that the reception is also open at night. On the other hand, I felt lucky to find parking in front of the hotel: the last one available and also tight. The following day, the concierge asked me to leave my car keys at the front desk, saying they would move it to have more space for other vehicles. Finally, at the end of my stay, I saw that I was charged €30 per day for the parking space. This parking issue is an extremely negative point for me: if a hotel boasts about having parking available, for me it means that it is truly available, included in the price of the stay, and located in front of the door or in a garage under the hotel. Furthermore, I use my car a lot and it is always full of many of my personal belongings; I left the key very reluctantly.
The room was very beautiful: spacious and tastefully furnished. The bathrooms are modern and functional. The bed is extremely comfortable. In the room there is air conditioning, a safe, and perhaps a minibar (if I remember correctly; I never use them and don't even notice them): a room worthy of a 4-star hotel. The rest of the building, however, seemed old to me and partly in need of renovation. The restaurant where we had breakfast had the advantage that you could sit on the terrace; but otherwise it was huge, already set for dinner, empty like a horror movie... I didn't really feel comfortable; I didn't like that deserted environment. Finally, regarding the infrastructure, I didn't understand if the SPA was out of service, under renovation, or if it could be used upon request. In any case, even in this instance, if a hotel claims to have a SPA, it must be available and functional during the day.
The breakfast was very varied and abundant. The quality of both the sweet and savory items was good; furthermore, it was possible to order eggs in different ways. The room where the buffet was set up was, on the other hand, detrimental: bare, cold, next to a disused room that served as a storage area, generally unwelcoming, and giving more the impression of a company cafeteria than a hotel buffet.
The hotel has its own beach, which I didn't understand if it is private or by agreement, and I didn't even understand if guests have a guaranteed spot or if it's just luck. For the rest, it's a beach spot like you see everywhere; so fairly average. The staff seemed kind to me, the 2 times I needed them, but clumsy nonetheless.
Would I go back? I don't know. The location is excellent and the room is really tidy; but honestly, the parking situation really left a bad taste in my mouth and perhaps, after the rooms, it would be a good idea to give the hotel's common areas a general renovation.
