This is a decent hotel, in a good location, and whilst it is not the most spectacular hotel I will ever stay in, it served my purpose very well. Just a short walk from the Piazza de Ferrari, which can be reached by bus from the airport, it is a good base for exploring Genoa. It is only 7 minutes from the hotel, down to the port area, and 2 minutes to Via Garibaldi. The hotel is what I would call old style, but the owners were very friendly, and the hotel itself was clean and safe. My room (12) was a decent size, with a comfortable bed, wardrobe, sink, bidet, TV and a desk. There was also a small fridge, along with tea and coffee. The bathroom was just opposite my room, and I never had to wait to use it, and it was always clean. The only issue I would have is the fact that the air conditioner in the room was noisy, but was essential, as Genoa was very hot last week. The surrounding area felt safe, and if I ever return to Genoa, it is somewhere I would certainly consider staying.

This hotel is right in the downtown area but I would not describe it as a hotel. It is more of a pensione with a common bathroom for the rooms. There is no common area for guests. There is a bar but there is really no room to sit down and enjoy a drink or a meal. A breakfast option is available but it is not a hot breakfast and one would have to eat in their room. There are 2 coffee bars very close by. There is no elevator and so one must walk up the stairs with one's luggage. The wifi worked very well. The room was clean and a decent size and the bed was comfortable. Value-wise the price was OK. The next nearest nicer hotel is twice the price. I think that during the peak season it would be too crowded as far as the bathroom situation goes. One bathroom for 5 or 6 rooms in my view is inadequate although I was there during the off season so it was not a problem. Given what is available in the area and the price I think I would repeat my stay at this establishment the next time I come to Genova.
