We stayed at the hotel during a school trip. The staff tried but the hotel is just not suited to cope with larger groups at all. The walls are paperthin, there no room to meet at all; no common room, either. We couldn't even eat together, that was a shame considering that spending time together is one of the essential ideas of going on a class trip. The rooms itself turned out to be a real problem: They are designed to accommodate two to three people, but they put old and unsteady bunk beds in there, so many that it was sometimes impossible to get to one bed without climbing over another, to fit in up to five people per room.
The location of the hotel is quite central, the train station, however, is right next to it, so it is rather noisy all day and night.

Stayed in the hotel centro in July 2014. Having read the current reviews we decided to book this family run hotel. It's a three star hotel but in comparison to other three star hotels this hotel is a possible two star. It was recently painted & cleaned up but they forget the little details that make most hotels attractive & inviting. Rooms are very basic & bathrooms need updating shower wasn't good. It's close to the port & a bus ride from the main town - train station on the doorstep.
Breakfast was very poor. Bread on the day we were there was mouldy!! I can't recommend this hotel despite their effects to get it right.
Wi-fi only works in reception & safe in room not secured to the wall.
