Hotel Admiral

The hotel has NOT existed for years, in its place there is a building and instead of the pool a parking lot. ——————————////////////////————————————-////////////////————————————————————-/————————————————————————————————————————-

Dinners were served in the dining room. The meal was extremely below average for Italy. The pasta on the second night was under done and the pesto was not up to the standards of the Ligurian coast. Shameful. If you like good food, do not go on an EF tour. The doors for some of the kids were hard to open. The beds were average, rooms were tolerably clean, bathrooms had good showers and bidets. There is an abandoned, haunted house across the street that looks like it is straight out of American Horror story. Punky local kids were apparently, loud at night (I sleep pretty heavily so I did not hear anything). There is a cute little bar/restaurant on the pier that probably has better food than the Admiral kitchen, but don't walk there by yourself after dark. The wine is good and so is the service. Very nice people there.

Having read the reviews we were a bit apprehensive about our 2 night stay at the Admiral. Far from being disappointed we loved the room, the view and the garden with the pool. Yes, it's a little dated but in a charming way. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money. Definitely go for the sea view rooms.
