This past week, we had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful guesthouse and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, our host Cesare was there to greet us with our room keys. He provided useful information for the area, including recommending an incredible bakery we visited every morning for breakfast. Our room was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated, with the best part being that we had our own entrance. The location is ideally situated in the old city but very central and within walking distance of the new city, the train station, beach front, an abundance of restaurants and best of all, a variety of vendors selling their wares. We loved the town of Monterrosso and our experience was wonderful - many thanks to the friendly Cesare.

This was a quaint accommodation a short distance from the center of town. The host, Cesare was amazing. He was outside waiting for us when we arrived, greeted us with cold water after the walk from the train station and carried our luggage up to the room. Very friendly & knowledgeable host. He gave us his cell number in case we needed any help while we were in Monterossa. Room was comfortable, charming with good air conditioning, shower and other well functioning features.

We ended up booking to stay with Cesare and his parents because the place we first considered didn't have air-con - pretty necessary here in August. What a lucky break that was. The location is perfect (maybe 80m up the hill from the centre of town). The room (twin with bathroom for my son and I) isn't huge but definitely big enough, spotlessly clean, lovely outlook onto the street, TV, little fridge, adequate WiFi - and a great air-con 😊 But the highlight is the service. Cesare (owner) couldn't be more friendly or helpful. His mum Rosetta cooks breakfast and makes up the rooms. After complimenting her on the lemon cake at breakfast this morning, we returned to our rooms this arvo to find them again spotless, with a couple of slices of lemon cake waiting for us on the side table 😁 Will definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to the area.
