Nyala Suite Hotel

I was at Nyala to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband, the staff welcoming and kind, the large room whirlpool tub standard (it didn't drive me crazy it was too chalky) wonderful room view, I booked with half board dinner and breakfast and I was very disappointed: à la carte menu with little choice, we ordered a first course (calamarata with seafood for both) and a grilled catch of the day for husband and sliced steak with arugula and cherry tomatoes and parmesan for me... in short, the calamarata with seafood with frozen shellfish immersed in a small cup of oil per dish you could feel that everything was frozen and poorly executed, the grilled fish of the day (fillet) seemed boiled and we found 2 bones, the sliced steak requested medium rare arrived overcooked and instead of arugula, iceberg lettuce (at least they could have asked if the substitution was okay). in short, my husband and I were sick at night, the buffet breakfast decent, the sweet corner well stocked even if they were packaged products and cut and made to look like they were made by them, the savory corner I didn't even take into consideration... the cold cuts looked dead for a long time from the color... in short, apart from the view and the centrality of the property it is not worth the money I paid to be a 4-star. I will definitely not return to this property, I am only sorry for the kind staff but kindness was not enough

Well, let's be objective!!! Do not expect a European 4-star; from the reception, the tone is set with barely a hello... from the moment you access the room, you go back to the 80s between vintage elevators and so on... the room, well, how should I put it, it's more of a 2-star. The pool is decent but not exceptional; however, the lifeguards are polite and serious. The breakfast at €16 is well-stocked, but powdered fruit juices, that's not serious in 2026; I won't even mention the servers with their arms crossed and nonchalant, who are waiting for one thing, and that is to see you leave. In short, expensive for the service offered.

My husband and I stayed here during our week off for summer vacation. The room is modern and well-maintained; as soon as you enter, you can smell that it is clean. The food is truly EXCELLENT and all the waiters are friendly and kind. The pool is very pleasant, unfortunately due to the heat we were not able to enjoy it fully. The only negative note (we knew it when we booked) is the distance from the sea. The property is located on the hill of Sanremo. Adjacent to the hotel, there is a shortcut that takes you to the center, but the road is uneven and the climb, as you know, is tiring. That said, the vacation was pleasant.
