Borgo Le Terrazze

Lovely hotel with a fantastic view And friendly staff

We had a fantastic long weekend at Borgo Le Terrazze, just outside Bellagio, and would happily recommend it. The hotel is modern, comfortable and represents very good value compared with some of the hotels closer to the centre of Bellagio. It’s a couple of kilometres outside town, but this really wasn’t an issue as the hotel runs its own private shuttle service. We used it regularly throughout our stay and found it extremely convenient. One of the highlights is the breakfast room and restaurant, which has spectacular panoramic views over Lake Como. Breakfast was very good, with a good choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and breads, as well as cooked options including eggs, bacon and sausage. The restaurant has a deliberately limited evening menu, but we ate there one night and really enjoyed it — a very good lasagne and salad, accompanied by that wonderful view. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and well equipped, with another amazing view across the lake. We also had a lovely private terrace with outdoor seating and sun loungers. Waking up and stepping outside to that panoramic view every morning is probably what we’ll miss most. The complimentary water supplied in the room each day was also a nice touch. A particular strength of Borgo Le Terrazze is the service. Everyone we dealt with — from reception and the restaurant staff to the shuttle drivers — was genuinely friendly and helpful. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and the whole hotel had a relaxed, welcoming feel. The outdoor infinity-style pool is another lovely feature, again with beautiful views across the lake. It isn’t heated, although during the warmer months that really shouldn’t be an issue. Bellagio itself is a great base for exploring Lake Como. It’s a major hub for the ferries, making it easy to visit other towns and villages around the lake. The centre is extremely picturesque, with cobbled streets, dramatic lake views, some excellent wine bars and restaurants, and plenty of small local and artisan shops. Overall, we had a very positive stay. Borgo Le Terrazze combines spectacular views, excellent service and good value, while still giving you easy access to Bellagio and the rest of Lake Como. We loved our time here and would definitely recommend it

You will love absolutely this place. We’ve visited Bellagio for over 20 years and several of those visits to Borgo Le Terrazze. We’ve seen many changes over the years as the accommodation has developed with extra parking, EV charging, outdoor dining area and more frequent shuttle bus to town some of the most recent visible changes. The location is one of the key features of this hotel. You can escape the crowds in the town. The view of the lake will amaze you whether it’s from your room, dining area or the pool. All of the staff are amazing from front of house to house keeping they notice little things eg a finger print on the glass doors polished away on daily housekeeping. Fortunately on our last night we had a spectacular thunderstorm just to complete our trip. Thank you Elena for another wonderful stay. Can’t wait to stay with you again soon.
