Boiling hot attic with completely inadequate air conditioning for what is now predictably a very hot European summer. Our stay was intolerable. When we raised it with the owner they were unsympathetic. I am a landlord myself. I would ensure proper air con and if inadequate would have given at least a partial refund. The attic is not fit for summer habitation.

The apartment has everything you need, and the 1st floor on even gives you a private terrace that is away from the busy alley. That busy alley is its main drawback; don't expect quiet before midnight as the apartment is situated between multiple restaurants (the bedrooms are right above a terrace) and there are people strolling the alley all afternoon and night. That said, the rooms are airconditioned and it's right in the middle of town. Some maintenance was lacking when we were there (shower head was loose, beds enormously squeaky). Would not recommend for those travelling with young children, only for night owls. The host was very friendly and helpful!
