Bes Hotel Bergamo West

We stayed at the LVG Hotel Collection Bergamo West already in 2022 and had enjoyed it very much, so much so that we decided to return. Unfortunately, compared to our previous experience, we found a general deterioration, probably related to the change of management. One of the first differences concerns the parking lot: a bar was installed and now there is a fee, which we found difficult to understand considering that it is often empty. Even the breakfast buffet seemed less varied than in the past, with a more limited choice, second and third day there were no blonde orange juice, scrambled eggs, single-portion jams in short, several foods were missing. In the room we noticed the absence of the safe, present during our previous stay, and even in the bathrooms are no longer available courtesy kits, a detail that helped to make the stay more comfortable. In addition, the suction system in the bathroom did not work. Finally, we discovered that it is no longer possible for hotel guests to use the swimming pool of the adjacent sports facility, a service that previously represented added value. Overall the property remains valid, but we regret having found these changes in negative compared to a few years ago, taking into account that it is a 4-star property.

I was for the company dinner for one night very comfortable room although a bit small bathroom quite satisfied very plentiful breakfast

We had originally booked a triple room but got a family room to our great delight – which turned out to be a real stroke of luck as I was travelling with two young children. The room was very clean and provided enough space for the three of us so we immediately felt comfortable. We were particularly enthusiastic about the nearby sports facility, which offered both an indoor swimming pool and a small outdoor area – just right for us! Unfortunately, we arrived a bit late on the day of arrival, and to our disappointment the facility closed already at 19:00. We found that a pity, because slightly longer opening hours would be desirable especially for families with children. Overall, our stay was pleasant, with a fair Price quality ratio. However, what absolutely could not convince was the breakfast. Although it was included, it was a single disappointment: There were hardly any free seats, used dishes were not cleared and the buffet was only partially stocked. In the end, we only ate some cereal because there was a lack of everything else – a real shame. Conclusion: A solid hotel with good room facilities and great leisure facilities, but with significant room improvements in the breakfast area.
