Characteristic place, a little dated but comfortable. Stunning view of the Stelvio. We also took advantage of the half board for dinner and it was pleasant. The breakfast wasn't bad either. I would stay here again

I stayed here for a couple of nights in August 2018 while driving around the Alps. This hotel is very basic, but given the price this really shouldn't be a surprise. My room was clean and comfortable, with a view looking out across the mountain tops to the west. Dinner was similarly basic, with a choice of three options for dinner. As long as you don't expect amazing food, then you won't be disappointed - it's cheap and cheerful like the hotel, and while portions aren't massive, they are just enough to fill you up. There's a fairly limited selection of food at breakfast, but enough there to keep you going until lunch. If you're after a luxury hotel, then this place isn't for you. However if you want somewhere cheap, comfortable and convenient at the top of the Stelvio Pass, then this ticks all the boxes.

The rooms are very basic but clean and quiet. The views facing towards Bormio are unbelievable. The food in the restaurant is surprisingly good and a great value. The waiter in the restaurant is a gem - old school but so nice and very funny. The fire in the lobby is very welcome as it can be quite cold up here. The tv in our room was about 10 inches and didn't really work but that was ok and we didn't notify the front desk (so it is our fault
