AC Hotel Milano by Marriott

While visiting Milan, we stayed at the AC Hotel Milano for four nights. Overall, we had a very good experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff was consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was nice and comfortable. The only issue we had was that the sink did not drain properly, which was a minor inconvenience. The hotel is located a little outside the city center, but it was not far from the main attractions and was easy to get around Milan from there. We also ate at the hotel restaurant twice. The waiter and bartender were both fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The food was very good the first night, although our second meal was not quite as good as the first. Despite that, we really enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the friendly service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location. We would definitely consider staying at the AC Hotel Milano again when visiting Milan.

The location is slightly outside of everything, although you can walk to a few decent restaurants in 10 minutes. There is a bus route you can take into town. The hotel looks like a prison from the outside. It is a tall concrete tower. We were put into the deluxe room, which I later learned only means a higher floor. The elevators work fast and there were 3 of them. The room itself makes very little sense. There are no electrical plugs near any mirrors! We had an iron and no board. These rooms are small for two people and I would say impossible if you were four. There was a large round table but no place to put makeup on. The long console for bags worked fine with two drawers below. There was no robe, but I called and they brought us one. We ate at the restaurant and the food was ok, I would skip the burger and stay with the Italian panini. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with self serve coffee and cappuccinos. The staff was friendly but not well informed. We had some issues with the toilet which was fixed by the next day and the shower was hard to operate. Next trip I would go back to the Westin Palace instead

I found literal feces on the floor of the hotel room. I reported it to the hotel staff and management. After 2 days of "investigation" they found that they did nothing wrong and refused to compensate us for anything at all. The last note I received was basically "sorry you found poop on the floor, not our fault" and case closed. Appalling, they didn't even offer to come back in and re-clean the room, change our room, nothing. They offered us free breakfast as if we'd want to eat at a hotel where they can't even keep feces of the room floors. I spoke with Marriott corp and they were equally appalled and are doing their part to try to mediate. Find another hotel in Milan.
