BEST WESTERN Hotel Major

For a Best Western, the hotel is rather disappointing. The hotel is located in the outskirts of Milan, within walking distance to the Fondazione Prada. The environment is still urban, and one must also fight through the Milan traffic. Right next to the hotel, there is a metro station that allows easy access to the city center. There are also grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The room is rather simply furnished. However, there is an air conditioner and a refrigerator. The room was reasonably clean, and everything worked. The number of power outlets was just okay. There were two behind the television at the desk. The wifi was good. Attention: There are rooms that cannot be reached by the elevator. The breakfast is at best okay, even by Italian standards. The filter coffee is simply bad. It is best to order a cappuccino right away. In the lobby, there is a coffee machine with capsules that can be used for free. A parking space can be booked for a fee. This is a single garage about 50 meters from the hotel in a backyard. A Tiguan just barely fit in with the side mirrors folded in.

The rooms are basic and on the smaller side, but surprisingly comfortable. The hotel’s central location is a major plus — with the metro just steps away and a fantastic gelato shop nearby. The room interiors are quite interesting, adding character to the stay, and everything is clean and well-maintained. Service is solid, and even after check-out, the spacious and cozy lobby provides a great place to relax until it’s time to head to the airport. The staff are truly wonderful — friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Strategically located hotel, the Lodi metro right in front takes you downtown in 10 minutes, and there is also an equally convenient bus stop to get around. Quiet area with wide choice of shops and restaurants. Very kind and helpful staff, quiet rooms and equipped with the essentials. I recommend it!
