A gem of a hotel. Our room was large, clean, bed very comfortable and decent size shower. We also had a large balcony with views over the rooftops to the lake. The pool area is lovely and was quiet during our stay. Plenty of choice at breakfast. You have to be pretty fit to manage the uphill walk back to hotel from the centre, but it’s a pleasant walk and I managed it as a nearly 60 year old! Overall, a lovely little 3* family run hotel and we’d definitely return again. Thank you Sonenga

Quiet and clean. Good bed. Good breakfast. With the car, you can go down to the lake where there are free parking spaces.

Lovely stay at Hotel Sonega. The subtle little touches made it special. The family who run it certainly take pride in their establishment. A warm friendly welcome on arrival and personally taken to our room. Our room was on the top floor, had a balcony and beautiful views of the town and the lake. Room was simple but clean and comfortable. It contained a fridge (first day's water was supplied) and had A/C. Dinner is an option if you do not want to venture down to the town after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was plentiful. Towels for the pool are available on request - drinks/ snacks available when poolside. Plenty of sun loungers and the pool was very refreshing on a hot afternoon. Parking is available at a cost - two rates - one for outside parking and one for the garage. The walk to and from town is up and down a hill. For 90% of the route you are on a designated walkway/ staircase. It weaves you through the village down to the waterfront. On a hot day or if mobility is an issue this could pose a challenge for some.
