Tenuta De L'Annunziata

We arrived today, we booked in October, we had direct contact via email with a very nice lady. She knew we were coming as mother and daughter with a dog. We were looking for a nice stay with our little dog, a little time out, Reading, enjoying the pool, Mogli the dog of course with us. He does not stay in the room alone. A small hint from the lady at reservations that dogs are not allowed at the pool would have been enough for us to study the website more closely. There is only one spa that basically connects the indoor and outdoor pool. Of course a dog cannot come along. We understand that, of course! But take a look at the website. If you are not interested in the spa, you see the beautiful pool, the great location, the beautiful rooms, and think of a nice time together! It is definitely my fault that I did not realize that we cannot be at the pool. Now, of course, we do not want to stay here. We were very sad when we arrived. The lady at the reception was immediately dismissive and said that management was not available today! We then asked management very nicely via email if there is a solution. So far, they are refusing everything and do not want to let us leave free of charge. We have now proposed staying two nights out of five, and they should let us go as a gesture of goodwill. Now we are very curious to see how they react. We hope they are accommodating. We will let you know here and, of course, adjust the review accordingly. The management's reaction this morning is that they will waive one night if we leave early. We would now like lounge chairs on the terrace; that would be a small solution. For guests without a dog, the hotel is very, very nice, comfortable beds, absolutely quiet except for the nightly moving of beds or chairs, as is so often the case in hotels when you are not on the top floor. Guests rarely stay longer than one or two nights, as it is also a spa hotel for a short getaway. That way, the hotel would have also had the opportunity to give us an upgrade. That would be a nice gesture when staying longer than usual. A very nice spa area. Outside of the spa, there is no area with lounge chairs or comfortable chairs. That is important to know and should definitely be stated when booking the hotel; who reads every line anyway. The management had lounge chairs placed on the terrace for us. Now we are going swimming separately. It is not optimal, and we imagined it differently. Important: the staff at the restaurant makes up for everything! They are attentive and very helpful. The food is excellent and it fits the price and performance. An outstanding wine list that is also at a perfect price level. Here we thank the entire team from breakfast to dinner! We recommend the hotel for two nights and only for two people without a dog or child! Perfect little getaway!

Prime rooms and good restaurant.

I called to ask about the possibility of extending the validity of a gift voucher I gave to a friend, but due to a property "policy" they did not grant it to us, not even for an extra fee. Since that voucher had been paid for (and not cheaply), we would have expected more kindness and flexibility. I am sorry that my friend could not enjoy the experience after a very arduous year. It would have done her a lot of good.
