I stayed with my wife and daughter from Sunday to Monday, very beautiful place they are finishing renovating, wonderful pool and sun loungers, quality continental breakfast I recommend it, gym and if you want massages and spa for a fee everything included except the spa and massages

We had the extraordinary privilege of spending a night at Hotel Oliveto in Desenzano. A stay that was characterized primarily by one thing: the unmistakable feeling of relief when we were allowed to pack our bags the next morning. Intended as a transit hotel, it at least taught us the important lesson that even a single night can become extremely long. To start with the positive: Our room was indeed renovated. However, upon entering the balcony, the renovation seamlessly transitioned into a vibrant open-air museum of construction. The successful decoration of decorative construction debris, artfully hanging cables, and hoses gave the outdoor area a unique, post-apocalyptic charm. This proximity to customers was also evident in the service: The hotel provides its guests with a considerable number of construction workers. By the way, an alarm clock is absolutely unnecessary here. Right at 7:00 AM, the in-house entertainment program started with a jackhammer concert right outside the window. It is worth noting that the workers sleep at night – a service that granted us at least a few hours of peace after our arrival before the morning vibration experience began. Those seeking relaxation by the pool during the day will be rewarded with an extra dose of adrenaline here. There is certainly a thrill when you relax on the lounge chair while the construction crane juggles tons of concrete slabs directly above the heads of the bathers. An absolutely weightless feeling. The infrastructure around the pool also shines through minimalism: You will still search in vain for changing rooms here. The official recommendation is probably to get dressed directly in the room and then stroll through the hotel in the fine attire of swimwear to the pool. Should you suddenly feel an urgent need while swimming and look for a restroom – well, let us rather cover this with the cloak of polite silence. I am not a structural engineer, but given the ambitious state of this major construction site, I dare to make the bold prediction that this work will probably not be completed by 2026. Those longing for an authentic construction site atmosphere, including extreme sports feeling at Lake Garda, will get their money's worth here. For us, it was definitely the first and last visit.

Absolutely brilliant location - very close to all the bars and restaurants and gorgeous views of the lake. Also very close to the train station and a central location meant it was very easy to get to Verona and Peschiera Del Garda. The ferry is also very close and a lovely quick trip over to Sirmione. Ferry and trains are very cheap compared to taxi fares. Staff here are wonderful, so helpful and friendly and were great with assisting with anything we needed. Food and drinks are also very nice. The outdoor bar does a great Hugo Spritz and the seafood pasta was a big fave! Couldn't rate this higher and cant wait to come back!
