Villa Maria

We stayed at this hotel last week, it was 2 adults and our teenage daughter. Easy to find, easy located, easy parking. Room was comfortable, really large room with great extra bed for our daughter and lots of space. Breakfast was ok, it wasn't the best breakfast we have had, but it wasn't that bad either. Great sized pool area, lots of sunbeds, so no fighting over those. Be aware, currently they are building on 2 sides of the hotel, so the pool area is surrounded by building and construction, so if you want a peaceful swimming area, this is not the place as it is quite noisy. We were out and about quite often, and only came back for a couple of hours by the pool so it was manageable. Staff and reception at the hotel were exceptional very pleasant, helpful, gave good tips and recommendations. Breakfast staff were also very helpful and cheery.

The pictures that are here do not match at all. The building with the small round glass porch is being demolished. The garden shown in the pictures does not exist either. The remaining part of the hotel is completely surrounded by a large construction site with diggers, cranes, etc. One meter from where you lie by the pool. No trees left around the pool. The only thing the hotel did for us was to offer toast at lunch. Scandal that they do not warn their guests that they will stay in the middle of a construction site. It sounded terrible by the pool and lots of construction dust came in and the cranes arms went back and forth over the pool. According to Italian law, you can not build during the siesta time at 35 degrees Celsius heat, which they completely ignored.

Hotel with very large room and bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great and hearty breakfast. At my request for a fridge fix in the room, it was solved in no time. Parking area both outdoor and indoor. I recommend it if you have to organize a weekend at the lake
