Breathtaking location overlooking the beautiful Lake Como; I suggest booking the lake view room that allows you to wake up to a postcard view. The staff is helpful and very kind, the food is very good, and there are various spaces to relax between the pool, the garden, and the beach. The clientele is predominantly foreign, mostly Germans, but mainly couples. Fantastic place

We were guests at the Hotel Regina for five days in April. We had booked half board. There are some less favorable reviews regarding the breakfast and the noise level. We agree with these reviews. What we experienced, however, is that on three of the five days, additional items appeared on the bill during dinner that were included in the half board price. This was complained about to the staff each time, and they assured us that it would not be included in the final bill. On the day of departure, we paid our bill, unfortunately without checking the individual items on site. It happened as it had to: An unjustified charge of €18 was found on the bill. We wrote to the Hotel Regina and requested a refund of the amount. Initially, there was no response. After further emails, the overpaid amount was finally acknowledged and a refund was promised. Despite reminders, it has not yet occurred as of today (mid-June). Due to this behavior of the hotel, we can unfortunately only give one star as a rating.

Hotel Regina is one of the few small hotels which provides direct Lake Como access with it‘s own private beach. The infinity like pool above the beach also speaks for itself. We found this place truly relaxing as it is located in the more quiter part of Lake Como‘s North. There are only a few hotels in this area and we think Hotel Regina is the best choice if you are not into Camping. Breakfast was marvelous for Italian standards. Only the room selection could be tricky as there are plenty of choices to be made in the main building or the annex building behind. To us it looked like everytime additional cash was available, the hotel got extended, which gives it a bit of a weird impression providing very modern parts and some quite old-fashioned areas. We went for a Crotto room in the annex and were really satisfied with the balcony providing side view on the lake. However you have to be careful with you selection because not many rooms provide air condition which could be a problem in the hotter months of the year. This being said we would only recommend to stay in one of the un-airconditioned rooms in spring or autumn. Otherwise no worries at all...
