Mamma Ciccia

**Overall, a spacious stay held back by a few significant issues.** **Pros:** * **Extremely Spacious Rooms:** The rooms are incredibly generous. Honestly, large enough that our family of 5 could have easily shared one room if booking limits hadn't forced us to buy two * **Comfortable & Bright:** The beds were excellent, and the rooms get beautiful, natural sunlight. * **Great Hospitality:** The brunette receptionist was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful. * **Decent Breakfast:** A good start to the morning. **Cons:** * **Mold & Water Damage:** This was our biggest concern. There was visible mold on the bedroom ceiling and in the bathroom. One bathroom smelled so strongly of mold that my daughter couldn't use it and had to share ours. Mold toxicity is a severe health risk, not something that can just be painted over or treated with bleach; it requires professional remediation. For anyone dealing with health sensitivities, this is a major safety issue. * **No Housekeeping:** Our room wasn’t serviced at all during our 3-night stay. By the end, we ran out of basics like water and toilet paper, which was a real hassle. ***shower door***: in the first shower attempt, we noticed the shower door wasn’t properly secured at the bottom and it was a bit stressful making sure it wouldn’t fall off * **Restaurant:** The restaurant downstairs initially tried to turn our family away. We experienced a frustrating trend around Lake Como where restaurants denied us service the moment we mentioned having a bigger group and children—even at 7:30 PM under the guise of "closing." The hotel restaurant did eventually seat us once they realized we were guests, but it was an incredibly upsetting and stressful experience when just trying to feed our family, and a theme around all Lake Como. We were lucky to find ANY place that would take us. We ended up only eating in mediocre places because only low rated places would take us. That said, if the mold situation is truly remediated, I would happily stay here again as it in general pleasant.

Very well located, in the central square, very attentive staff, breakfast included and very varied. The only problem is that the wifi 🛜 is very weak, not to say scarce, and there is no coverage. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Very quiet, perfect for a break.

A great unique boutique hotel close to the lake with very friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms, good and various breakfast and a very nice bistro with exquisite pinsa. Every wish was granted on the spot, even short notice birthday celebration.
