Astoria Milan

For years, on the occasion of the San Siro concerts, I have frequented a well-known hotel near the stadium. This year, however, I stayed on two occasions at the Hotel Astoria on Via Murillo. The hotel is very close to the stadium; we always walked there. The room on the eighth floor, gorgeous, huge and with clear signs of a recent renovation. The breakfast was very good and varied. The staff was always very helpful in explaining and providing information. At the reception, the staff was always very friendly. A warm greeting to the receptionist who is a fan of The Weeknd :-) We will definitely be back next year.

Excessive price for the establishment and the conditions in which it is found. I slept in a room that was permeated with a smell between cigarette smoke and a chemical deodorant. Basic breakfast, terrible coffee.

Booked this hotel for our visit to the San Siro to watch AC Milan. The room is quite small. But apart from that it was spot on. The room was clean, with tea/coffee making facilities (brought my own latte sachets) and a safe. You can get breakfast at the hotel if you wish, but we decided to go to one of the local cafes. Easy to get into the city via public transport with metro stations nearby. You can walk to the San Siro (about 25 minutes) or take a tram from around the corner from the hotel. All in all, perfect for a football trip. Please note, at time of writing, there is outside maintenance work going on, but this did not effect us on a weekend.
