I had a really nice solo stay for 3 nights at Hotel Bristol. The team were accommodating of my request to join today separate bookings, the room was clean, spacious enough and comfortable and I had a lovely balcony with table and chairs. The location is ideal, a stones throw from the main station and with a metro station down the street. Bottles of water in the minibar and a small selection of tea was included, I purchased coffee from a small shop a few hundred metres away.

Hotel itself was lovely. Delicious breakfast and pleasant staff. However the room itself left a lot to be desired! In order to open the wardrobe it took two of us to lift it off its runners. The a/c was broken and we couldn’t turn it down even though we asked reception!! We were informed they were waiting for it to be fixed. Luckily we could open a window but it was still hot!!

I stayed at the Bristol Hotel in Milan for four nights, and unfortunately my experience was far from restful. The room was extremely tiny, and very dated, with worn furnishings that really need an upgrade. To make things worse, there was a normal interior house door inside my room that opened into the neighbouring room. Although it was locked, I could hear everything happening next door, which made privacy impossible. On top of that, the lock on the main room door didn’t work properly, which made me feel even less secure during my stay. There was no kettle in the room, which was inconvenient, especially given the overall discomfort. The toilet flush was incredibly loud, both in my room and in the surrounding rooms. Every time someone above or next door used their bathroom, the noise woke me up—several times each night. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the hotel is located on a very busy street, so traffic noise made sleeping even more difficult. To make matters worse, the air conditioning didn’t work at all. The weather was very hot during my stay, and the room stayed around 23-24.5 °C every night. I had to keep the windows open, but this only increased the noise. I reported the issue to reception multiple times; they said they would look into it, but nothing was ever resolved. As a result, I barely slept during my entire stay. On the positive side, the room was very clean, the breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and the coffee was outstanding. The hotel is also very close to Milan Central Station, which is convenient for travel. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet or simply a good night’s sleep, I cannot recommend this hotel.
