Excel Milano 3

I arrived as part of a group of 17 cyclists, so you can imagine the amount of bags and equipment we had. The gentleman on reception, Damien was excellent. He knew we were arriving, had all the rooms cleaned early and arranged for all the bags to be taken to the rooms. He had even identified a parking space for the support van. Thanks Damien. The rooms were more like apartments, clean and tidy. We dined at the hotel and the food was great too.

Location is Ok for someone travelling by car and not needing to be near Milano city center. There is a beautiful garden with an artificial lake in front of the hotel, as well as many facilities, such as restaurants, bars, pharmacy and supermarket, all around the block. We stayed on a Friday night and for our surprise the hotel was in the middle of a very happening night life area, with few bars around the hotel building packed with young people. Not a problem for us, on the contrary, it was nice to go down and have some beers watching the hustle and bustle. However, if you need absolute silence, be aware that weekend nights might be noisy. Easy to park in front of the hotel and to charge our Tesla (just make sure you have Enel X app or EV Way app installed, register your account, credit card, etc). Triple room was huge and with a nice balcony facing the lake. Check in and service was good, breakfast is limited due to COVID as you need to order your food at the counter. I can't comment much on the state of the hotel facilities as we arrived late at night and left early on the next day.

Disastrous interaction with Demian G. Bello, Front Office Manager! I booked by mistake 2 nights at non refundable rate (10 euro lower than the regular rate) and 2 days later i asked to cancel the second night. Although I provided them with more than 7 days notice, the front desk manager did not refund the money hiding behind the excuse of company policies! Very disappointing!
