Hotel Sant'Ambroeus

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, the experience was very negative. The rooms were extremely small and poorly maintained, but the most serious issue was finding dirty sheets upon our arrival. Additionally, during our stay, we noticed the presence of insects in the room, a situation that is absolutely unacceptable for a hospitality establishment. To make matters worse, we were unjustly accused of making noise, which was absolutely untrue. We tried to ask for explanations and clarify the situation with the staff, but without success.

Terrible experience in every aspect. The room was extremely dirty, with insects everywhere: ants and even cockroaches. The sheets seemed not to have been changed, they emitted a bad odor and gave a strong sense of poor hygiene. The bathroom was also in disgusting condition, with obvious yellow stains and accumulated dirt. To make matters worse, the staff proved to be very grumpy and unhelpful, with no attention given to customers or the reported issues. Absolutely not up to the standard for a dignified stay. I would not recommend it to anyone.

A completely negative experience that I do not recommend to anyone. The stay was a disaster from every point of view, starting with the hygienic conditions of the room: we found hair between the sheets and ants in a decidedly dilapidated, old bathroom that was completely lacking in maintenance. To top it all off, rude, unhelpful staff lacking any form of courtesy towards the guest. The most serious incident, however, involved the handling of the deposit. After depositing it as a guarantee for potential damages, the establishment arbitrarily decided to withhold half of it, justifying their actions with vague accusations of "noises" that were never proven. We were not provided with any evidence, nor was there a minimum level of professionalism shown; it was an improper behavior to unjustly withhold our money. We are deeply disappointed by the complete lack of honesty and the unacceptable way we were treated. This establishment should be absolutely avoided.
