Hotel Teco

The hotel is clean and room is nice. Our toilet seat was broken upon arrival. We tried to watch tv and rest but there is only Italian television. They advertise free WiFi but it is not secure and does not allow you to stream on the television.

I have been to Milano 20 or 30 times before and normally stayed at 4 star hotels (Galles/Marconi/City/Napoleon) in the Corso Buenos Aires area, but on this occasion decided to try the Hotel Teco. I am glad that I did. Not nearly as expensive as the 4 star hotels and yet, just as good if not better! Check-in was easy and quick having pre-registered on the internet. Had a superior double room and it was spotlessly clean, well decorated, air-conditioning worked, the wifi worked, the bed was comfortable, there was a kettle and sachets of coffee and tea as well as bottles of water in the refrigerator. The staff are excellent, from check-in to breakfast to check-out. Friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, just off the Corso Buenos Aires, about 15 minutes walk to Milano Centrale train station and about 15-20 minutes the other way to the Duomo. Alternatively the hotel is equidistant between two underground Metro stations. Breakfast was lovely, a good choice of yoghurt, pastries, cakes, bread, cereals, scrambled egg, bacon, cold cheeses and meats, fruit juice and the cappucino was excellent! This hotel may be graded three star and not four; but it's better than many four stars I have stayed in whilst travelling around Italy. Highly recommended, especially when you consider the cost difference.

The hotel is simply fantastic. First of all, the location is excellent: a stone's throw from Corso Buenos Aires and very close to the train station. The room I stayed in was spacious, quiet, clean, and equipped with many amenities (TV, minibar, air conditioning, toiletries, hairdryer, and even slippers). The breakfast was abundant and of excellent quality. The staff was very kind and helpful. I left five stars because the system does not allow leaving more.
