MOZART

We went to this hotel with 4-star expectations. We were disappointed and sorry. Very small rooms..insufficient bathroom products, average breakfast, very noisy room. I would not return.

The room smelled damp - a very bad odour coming from the bathroom - the shower leaked - toilet roll holder was busted, completely loose - sofa bed really uncomfortable - reading light broken on one side of the bed. Not a Deluxe room as advertised on website. I reported the issues the following morning but was not greeted amicably, no apologies were made but instead, I was made to feel uncomfortable, the communication between the staff members was in Italian although I could understand as I speak Spanish, was not polite, comments were made between the staff about my complaint and was told that their engineer would take a look. To add to this, the lifts were suspended one night and we had to walk up to the 4th floor (that’s where our room was) coming from an 14 hour trip to Lake Como! Last thing we needed was to walk up the stairs to our room. Breakfast was ok, but again, no friendly faces but instead, it was more like hurry up and eat attitude. Our table was being cleared even before we’d finished eating our breakfast! There was only one staff member that stood out from the rest, I didn’t get his name but he was a nice chap, received us with a pleasant smile and was very professional. On a positive note, the location was ideal, close to public transport and a good night life - not too noisy-with lots of restaurants to suit every budget. Unlikely to visit again to be honest.

I liked the Hotel Mozart - I received a very warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival, my room was a good size with very comfortable beds; clean, quiet and a nice view over the square. Loved the Argan products. I was only there for one night and didn't use the bar, but I did have breakfast which was extensive and good quality. On departure, once again, I received excellent service and they were able to order me a taxi to the airport within minutes. I'm not sure why there were such negative reviews about the staff, as my experience was very positive. The only comment I would make is that I would not rate this as a 4 star hotel, as there is no restaurant and the bar isn't really a bar, but it is a very good 3 star.
