Holiday Il Girasole

Excellent accommodation: well-kept and clean. Pleasant welcome

Terrible experience. This hotel has informed me less than 48 hours before my stay that they have some unspecified problems and can't give us the room. They assured me that they will give our money back and asked for my bank details. It's been three weeks and I still haven't received any refund or a message from them on when I would receive the money. Besides, they haven't cancelled my room oficially on booking.com and made it look that we just didn't show up and it's our fault. Even though they told us not to show up! I don't ask them for additional compensation, even though it's been quite stressful to try to find a new room in Bergamo on such a short notice and of course the rooms that were left were much more expensive. Just give us our refund and don't do this kind of things to other people in the future.

They deleted my review from booking.com so i thought i just write it here.the owner was friendly but she rushed us to pay for the staying, so we did. After that we found out, that the bathroom was a disaster, the hairdryer was sticky and full with hair, other guests leftovers (toothpaste, toothbrush, half empty mouthfreshener and shampoo bottle) were all over the place, the bathtub that we asked for was unavailable because other guests broke the plug, but they didnt replace it during our stay. But to be honest it doesnt really matter because the bathtub was so tiny maximum a little child would enjoy it. The bathroom cupboard was dirty and i can't even guess what was on the mirror. Long story short... Let the pictures tell the story. We were just very disappointed because they have 8.2 points average rating and now i can see clear how they "modify" their good points. It's a shame. We loved Bergamo but we hated to go back to our B&B.
