Grand Hotel Villa Torretta Milano

- Had to use the circuit breaker to turn off the lights as they were having electric issues. - Loud concert nearby until midnight - Dirty walls and floors (and dusty curtains) - bathroom trash had not been removed before we arrived - didn't have enough towels in the room - furniture is old and worn - breakfast is very average (below expectations for Curio) - renovation needed in rooms (paint, furniture repair, etc.)

unacceptable experience. Given that the location is very pleasant, the electrical system was not working (it seems it has been like this for several weeks in all the rooms) and one had to turn the lights and the air conditioner on and off using the switches on the electrical panel. The air conditioning thermostat was not working and was particularly noisy, so I had to choose between NOT sleeping because of the heat or because of the noise. Furthermore, I was assigned a room (of a higher category) with an internal staircase to access the bed, without even asking if I had difficulty climbing stairs. Clearly the bathroom is on the level below. During checkout, they were very careful not to ask for an opinion on the hospitality. I do not understand how a hotel associated with the Hilton chain can decline in this manner.

Execellent hotel when 1-2 days in Milan. Anita from the reception was fantastic. The staff at breakfast was a little slow and forgetful.
