A few days in mid-August in this beautiful residence. The terrible heat did not spare even the check-in phase. The system went down, and we waited for almost an hour for our room assignment. Superior room with lake view, but unfortunately without a balcony and with an interior bathroom. We insisted quite a bit, and on the third day, at the same rate, they gave us a superior room with a lake view with a great terrace, a larger bathroom with a window. (Make sure if possible during the booking phase which superior is provided; the rate is the same, but there are differences.) We had booked, given the period, at the end of March with Booking.com). The rooms are now dated and in need of a good renovation. The property across the street built a new, beautiful structure called the Wine Hotel, but it is another world without the wonderful lake view that the historic residence offers. The best parts of the hotel remain the beautiful pool and the magnificent park that leads you down to the lake. So vast and shaded that umbrellas are not needed. Comfortable sunbeds and lounge chairs everywhere without having to make morning rushes for a good spot. Everything is beautiful. It is a pity about the heat, which has reduced the lake water, even causing moments of unpleasant odor. The pier is wonderful, providing access to better water for excellent swimming in Lake Garda. The online service in the park for drinks and snacks is good, even if the prices are pushing the limit. The breakfasts were truly negative. In terms of quality, selection, and quantity. The cake table was embarrassing, knowing that the same property manages an excellent pastry shop next door. At 9:00 AM... the two cakes provided were gone and not replaced. Attentive and kind staff in every department. Convenient and free parking. Value for money, good. I reiterate, the pool, the park on the lake, and the magnificent view even from the rooms make one forgive other flaws that should be resolved in any case.
