Attended a friends wedding and birthday event the 1st weekend in August. The whole stay was amazing - the facilities, food, drinks and service. Would happily return!

It used to be one of our favorite hotels: it seems it is slowly but surely going down. Internet is not working ( in 2026!! in a 4 star hotel), some rooms/bathrooms need some fixing ( toilets are leaking) and at times the receptionist in charge is losing her temper- not acceptable! Only one lift for all guests- so long waiting times. Breakfast gets very busy but there are not sufficient tables prepared. And let's not forget a horrible strong maybe disinfectant smell which can cause an asthma attack.

Outdoor dinner with friends. The place retains a certain charm, even if it shows signs of age: it especially needs a refresh inside. Decent cuisine, but I would have expected a little bit more: both the poached egg and the veal lacked punch, in the “neither good nor bad” category. Courteous and attentive service. What makes the difference is the setting, which like a beautiful woman of a certain age, exudes charm without the need for artifice. Prices unfortunately in line with the elegance of the place.
