Best Western Hotel Rive

We stayed here as part of a holiday with Crystal Ski. The staff were all friendly and sorted minor issues immediately. Special mention to Rocco in the restaurant who made sure my husband had a good choice of gluten free food each day (he has coeliac disease). We had a choice of three starters and main courses, chosen the night before and they adapted my husband's choice to be gluten free. They appreciate warning that a special diet is required. We enjoyed the food. Our room was large with a balcony ( as booked). The bed was very firm but got used to it quickly. Room a little cold but it did have full glass doors to the balcony and we could control the heating. We had a fridge, small tv, soft chairs and nice decor. Plenty of storage. We were given a ski locker in the basement, a short walk to the Smith 4 man chair outside the hotel. Our ONLY problem was some other guests (not Crystal customers) who had phones on loudspeaker, speaking to family throughout their meal! Other people were entertaining children with phones on loudspeaker. We were given a different table after asking to be moved. Some of the family groups were also noisy in the corridors. There were a lot of families there which we were not expecting as not half term. The families were mainly in a different area of the restaurant. Maybe I am being unreasonable as families deserve to enjoy their holidays too. The sister hotel Ca Ciore, a little further away from the slopes is smaller and maybe would have been quieter.

Stayed here on my ski holiday in January. Had a lovely time. Great location, almost perfect in fact. Hotel was clean and my room was quiet. Food was ok nothing to rave about but decent.
