Minotel Lo Scoiattolo

We have been coming for several years; the hotel is family-run, the owners are very friendly, and the hotel is very clean, whether in the rooms or in the surrounding areas, which are full of flowers. The breakfast is very hearty and varied (sweet, savory). The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable. Superb pool, hotel very well located on the heights of Lake Maggiore. The Borromean Islands 15 minutes away.... I highly recommend it.

Poor standing and customer relations. When contacted by phone regarding a double booking issue, they deliberately ignored the booking requests to collect the cancellation fee. Moreover, a deceitful manager, first saying he could not handle the cancellation, when I told him I was already in contact with Booking and that all it took was his consent, he immediately revealed the truth: I want the fee. Well, keep it, you have lost customers.

I stayed at this hotel from May 17 to 19, 2026, during an organized trip. Clean room, although a bit outdated, good bedding. A major downside is the dinners; a disaster, not good, cafeteria style. Moreover, the waitresses forgot their smiles. The breakfasts remain acceptable, although the bread was not good. I do not recommend it!
