Schloss Hotel Dolomiti

First of all, we thank the Nicolodi family and the entire staff for the welcome, courtesy, and availability shown. The hotel, a historic building with a Habsburg style, is majestic on the outside and spectacular on the inside. As soon as you enter, you are welcomed by a warm and refined environment that enhances its style. It is in a central location and convenient to all services. We felt well welcomed and pampered by all the hotel staff who, thanks to their enthusiasm, made our stay pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the comforts. Excellent dining: for dinner, a wide selection with typical local dishes to introduce the guest to the traditions of the area, but also national dishes, and for breakfast, a good variety of both sweet and savory options. It was the opportunity to unplug, get a change of scenery for a few days, and enjoy a bit of relaxation in an enchanting landscape.

Honestly, I struggle to understand the numerous positive reviews. In my opinion, the services offered are not up to the standards one would expect from a 4-star property. The cleanliness was often insufficient: for example, used towels were simply refolded instead of being left among those to be replaced. I do not expect a daily change, but at least proper management of what has already been used. Even the dishes during breakfast and dinner frequently required checking because they were often not perfectly clean. The dining room staff was helpful, but often appeared to struggle with managing the service. The food was barely sufficient and the kids' club was, in fact, non-existent. If I had wanted to leave the children in front of the TV, I would have simply kept them in the room. From a facility that offers a service dedicated to families, I expected much more. It is always unpleasant to leave a negative review, but considering the rates charged in the month of August, I believe it is right to share our experience so that other guests can make a more informed choice and avoid the discomfort we experienced.

It is the first time we have gone to Trentino and had a bad experience, a 4-star hotel that unfortunately has no services, neither CLEANLINESS nor the customer attention of a 4-star hotel. Starting with the room delivery, we paid a supplement for a prestige room and found ourselves in a dormitory, at the first complaint they fortunately changed our room, an attic but at least more spacious for a family of 5 people. Every meal (breakfast or dinner) we had to check plates, glasses and cutlery, because they were dirty. Out of 14 dinners, at least 12 we had to have our wine glasses changed, same thing for cutlery and coffee cups, dubious food quality. Out of 15 days at least 10 I had to pay for blue lines due to lack of parking. The grand finale was at the Ferragosto dinner, appetizer plates already served at the table and full of gnats, we were offered wine, and on the table was the envelope for the waiters' tip, also present at breakfast the next day, something I've never seen... Having to complain about a hotel upon returning from vacation, I think is a bad thing, if we hadn't paid in advance I think we would have gone elsewhere... A family waits all year to have a proper vacation and feel good, with services adequate to the level of the hotel chosen and the high cost requested for the stay, and instead returns absolutely disappointed, fortunately the days in the mountains clearly made up for this sad misadventure...
