Hotel Moderno

We were part of a group, and we stayed there for 3 nights. We found the rooms quite basic, and the bed hard. But it was clean. We had dinner here every night, and we were not impressed by the food because it lacked taste.

Friendly staff, all renovated, very cozy rooms, in the center close to restaurants and shops, I would definitely recommend

Weekend in company; we are 3 couples of friends and stay in 3 double rooms; prices not really popular, but, given the beauty of the place, we are fine with it. We arrive at the hotel, late afternoon, we enter the rooms (very nice and clean; nothing to object to) but you die from the heat; we turn on the air conditioning, but.... in all: 3 NO AIR CONDITIONING! - We contact the reception and they tell us that they will send a representative to check as soon as possible; after an hour of sauna, no one arrives, we contact the reception but they tell us to bear with us patience that soon the manager would arrive and try to solve the problem (...) - but how ???? should not already arrive a representative an hour ago ????) - we go out to dinner, we leave a telephone number to be contacted with our request to find another hotel with air conditioning because in such heat it would have been impossible to sleep; no one calls us; we return late at night and they tell us at the reception that in 2 out of 3 rooms the problem has been solved; for the 3rd room, there was no way to restart the system and insolently, wish a good night (....) to the 2 unfortunates of that room there; in the 2 "lucky" rooms we turn on the air and when this part, it seems to hear a fishing boat of the lake from so much noise it makes; So the choices are 2: either keep the air off to crack hot or keep the air on but not be able to sleep because of the hellish noise (Hotel Moderno ??? ) - In the morning we reiterate our discontent at reception and instead of receiving explanations or simple excuses, we are treated like obviously unwanted guests. Appalled, we regularly pay what we owe (which was no small thing...) and remove the disturbance. Conclusions: that the air conditioning system could fail and that it was not easy to find a technician on Saturday evening is understandable and we understood it; that you treated us like 6 cows to be milked and that's it: the one NO ! You were a total disappointment (for how you could not solve the problem, apologize for what happened - that would have been enough) But for your serenity we guarantee that we will never disturb you again and never set foot in your magnificent and MODERN hotel again. Long live Stresa (however beautiful) and live life!
