Meeting

For a weekend visit to the islands, luxury was not sought, since we only stay in the room at night, and luxury was not found, but decor was present. The exterior has been redone and is more than decent. Overall, it is truly a three-star hotel. The room with headboard, lights, and coat hangers has been rearranged. The reception staff was kind, even when dealing with a problem with the bathroom heating, which unfortunately occurred: it had come off. The shower box was a little loose. The air conditioning needs to be reviewed. Breakfast was neither good nor bad, but on the second day, we preferred to have breakfast at a café because the cappuccino from the self-service machine was found to be undrinkable. Unfortunately, breakfast in hotels is increasingly served with machines, which is why I will return, as I have for years, to only stay overnight without breakfast. Convenient parking available behind the hotel, although it is outdoors and costs 10 euros per day.

Certainly the most convenient accommodation for those attending the Verbano Model Show, the biennial modeling competition held at the adjacent Congress Palace, but still just a few dozen meters from the central Cadorna square. Over the years, the hotel has been extensively renovated and significantly improved in its external appearance, amenities, and rooms. It now features a bright lobby and a nice room for breakfast and meals. The rooms, modernly furnished, have new and functional bathrooms (ours with a step for access), TV, safe, minibar (with mineral water, beer, Sprite, and prosecco!). The mobile beds on wheels are comfortable. The breakfast is good, both sweet and savory, but the coffee is horrible! The reception and in-room services are excellent. The hotel also has private parking at a price of €10 per day.

We were a group of 8 and had a fantastic time cycling around Stresa. Partucularly, I recommend Lake Orta, a fabulous place. The hotel’s own e-bike rental was incredibly convenient, and the bikes were in excellent condition. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond, organizing a memorable dinner on Isola Bella and arranging a private boat tour on Lago Maggiore. The hotel itself is charming and well-priced; it’s not a luxury property, but that’s reflected in the value. The only minor downside was the coffee at the breakfast buffet, which could be improved. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would love to return.
