Stresa B&B

The luxury room is located on the top floor of the villa. The view towards Lake Maggiore is beautiful, but the window is cracked. The glass must be replaced. Breakfast is served at a nearby cafe and is very poor: a hot drink and a croissant. Very good coffee. The croissant on the first day was old, the next day fine. The villa has entrances on 2 streets, If you come by car, you must come on Al Castelo street, and not on San Michele street. The parking place is in the courtyard of the villa, quite narrow and crowded. The interior of the villa is beautifully decorated. I didn't like the canopy above the bed. I should give it up. The room was clean and the host friendly. However, I can not miss the cup of tea and teaspoon unspent, left over from previous guests. The price of the room was too high compared to what he offered, especially the poor breakfast and far away. Stresa, Lake Magiore and Borromee Islands are absolutely wonderful, especially Isola Bella.

Very clean & comfortable.......great decor. Our breakfasts were at a neighborhood cafe and I must say.the best breakfast ever!!! Fresh baking , fresh squeezed orange juice & expresso. Dalina was a great hostess. I would return. We arrived by ferry & Stresa B&B was very convenient to where we landed..across the street & up a side walkway. Shared bathroom.

I don't know where the place in the pictures is, but when we got there we were taken to a large very OLD and out of date aparment just around the corner from the hotel they run. It was bad. Smelled like mothballs. The gas burner did not work. There was no refrigerator . Kitchen was totally useless. The bed was ancient, and the linens were old and used looking. The "breakfast" was a complete joke. Bread with spread and coffee. That was it. No fruit, no milk, no juice, no meat of any kind, no cereal, no eggs, no pancakes, etc. White bread with spread. Lame.
