La Fermata Resort

We booked La Fermata Resort as a stopover on journey back to UK. We were very pleasantly surprised by the resort. Very warm welcome on arrival from receptionist, rooms large, airy and tastefully decorated. We have 2 dogs and there were dogs beds and bowls in the room for them too😀. Lots of additional touches in the room too. There is a Michelin Star restaurant which unfortunately was fully booked when we arrived. I would recommend making a reservation prior to arrival if you know your arrival time. Fully enclosed large garden area where dogs could run free whilst we drank coffee on the patio area. Breakfast was superb with a lot of delicious local produce and little tips from the kitchen to inform guests what went well together. I especially enjoyed the homemade peach cobbler made with local peaches. This resort is a must for anyone travelling in this area. It is so peaceful and the staff could not do enough for us. My only regret is that due to time constraints we could only stay 1 night.

Lovely place in semi rural / industrial countryside. The room we had was complete with a curved brick ceiling. Quiet and comfortable with helpful and friendly staff, from the young manager, Giulia Paciotti, right through to the house maids. Impressive restaurant but we didn’t eat there every day, great breakfast and several good restaurants in nearby Alessandria. There is a driving range and putting green but if you want to play golf you should drive to Villa Carolina golf club, this can be arranged by the front desk. Lots of villages and wineries to visit within an hours drive too.

trying to find a different place in the piemont to enjoy some tartuffo biancho and to have a room for the night we ended up booking la fermata. what a beautiful place a little outside. being the only guests for the night we enjoyed the quiet hotel and the spacious room for our family with two small children (1 extra bed and a babycot). very nice.
