Villa Luisa

Medium-sized property with private parking, family-friendly and welcoming

Short, very rewarding stay. Excellent quality of dishes (breakfast and dinner). All the staff, from the dining room to room cleaning, were very kind and hospitable. Extraordinary location with a scenic view both in the morning and in the evening. The outdoor environment, including the pool area, was well-kept and quiet. The property has a good connection to the historic center of Todi.

I am sorry to give one star because the place is nice, the food is very good, and the staff, especially Paolo and Luigi, is kind and helpful. It is a shame about the property management. I had booked expressly stating that I had a small dog and I was told that there would be no problems: the dog regularly paid its fee and could access both the restaurant and the pool. After two days, I was heavily reprimanded by the owner because a guest, who had stayed in the pool for just five minutes, had complained about the fact that my dog was on my lounge chair, on our towel. I pointed out that I had never been given any pet policy and that neither the sign at the pool nor the brochure with the rules mentioned any prohibitions or limitations. The situation reached the point that, the day before Ferragosto and with my disabled mother, I was even told that I should leave the hotel. The customer is not always right, but politeness, clarity, and professionalism should be the basis of hospitality. If dogs are not welcome, it would be enough to say so clearly before accepting the reservation. Accepting a customer with a dog and then treating them as if they had committed who knows what fault is not hospitality: it is simply poor management.
