Hotel San Marco

Brilliant location with tge beach 50 metres across tye road. Hotel Definately needs upgrading but it was very functional. Breakfast is €15 pp and isnt worth it. Tye sun beds with umbrellas are between €18 and €30 per day depending on how close to the sea you are. Bus service is outside hotel into old town €2 Lots of beach bars and restaurants. Climate in September to die for.

Kindness and absolute helpfulness from only one out of three of the receptionists on duty, excellent location, hotel not 4-star quality due to the very poor professionalism of some staff members, the girls in the breakfast room were good, then the rooms: put together with obsolete furniture, old and very uncomfortable sofa bed that I had to turn toward the television above the desk, the air conditioning very noisy, empty fridge (a 4-star hotel can at least put 1 bottle of water), cleaning so-so, I changed the towels myself because they tell me that sometimes an oversight can happen, my $130 t-shirt rolled up and thrown down from the drying rack in a corner as if it were a rag. Long story short, at the reception I complained about the poor customer service and that I would not have paid the tourist tax because I did not appreciate the service, at that point I was told by the oldest of the receptionists that I was a rude boor, to say the least. Ah! I thought that since you cannot reason with ignorant people, I turned my back on him and left him to stew in his own juices.

Dated hotel, rooms with terrible sea views... air conditioner only in the lounge... bedroom with a dated, noisy portable unit... cleaning done at 3 in the afternoon despite the small children who needed to take a nap!!! Mopping the floor is optional... four fingers of dust on the nightstands!!! Towels always had hair on them... rude staff... the only positive note is the seafront location!!!
