Arbatasar Hotel

According to the room description, our hotel was supposed to have a balcony and patio/veranda. We had a French balcony that couldn't even fit a chair. Nothing else. Soundproofing was also specified. Until 4 a.m., loud music blared into the room, and from 6 a.m., chairs were being moved as if it were right in our room. Staff and managers reacted to nothing we said. On the contrary, the manager was just annoyed and made it clear with a wave of his hand that he did not care about us. As one can see from other negative reviews on the internet, you are called a liar and Pinocchio by the hotel if you complain. That says everything about their attitude toward paying guests. There is a complete lack of respect. We also experienced this lack of respect when one of our IDs was in the suitcase. I could not bring it to the front desk after unpacking in the room. They insisted that I unpack the entire suitcase on the spot and look for the ID. The breakfast is very meager for Europeans and the scrambled eggs & sausages are inedible. The room key card is explicitly allowed to remain in the slot only when you are in the room. We were specifically informed of this. A wine glass for the room was an impossibility. Something like that is only available in this hotel if you also buy the wine. And putting your own food in the refrigerator is also strictly forbidden. Hanging laundry over the railing of the French balcony was also forbidden to us right at check-in... Given the many prohibitions, we briefly wondered if we were even allowed to occupy the room. We have never felt as unwelcome in a hotel as we did in this one.

Beautiful and well-maintained hotel. Friendly staff, from bartender, receptionist to cleaner and gardener. Everything is still perfectly fine. More variety in breakfast would have been nice, especially since we stayed for a week. The restaurant at the hotel is a bit pricey, but it is of top quality.

My partner and I stayed from 09/01 to 09/04, on a half-board basis, in room 130. In these four days we almost “tried” to find something negative… but nothing, really! Everything was extremely positive and, considering how much we travel, we can say with sincerity that finding a hotel where you feel this good is truly rare. Reception: staff extremely courteous, helpful, and attentive to every detail. Always ready to satisfy every request with kindness and professionalism. We felt welcomed from the very first moment. Room: truly very clean! Sincere compliments to the housekeeping staff: rarely, if not almost never, have we found a room so well-kept and clean. Trust us, traveling a lot you really see everything out there! The antique-style decor is very cute and characteristic, the bathroom is new and perfectly functional. The hair dryer is also excellent. Shampoo and body wash are left every day, in addition to comfortable indoor slippers. We also appreciated the change of sheets every two days. Breakfast: a note of merit to the lady in charge of breakfast, very kind, always smiling, and truly adorable. The breakfast is rich and varied, both sweet and savory, with excellent jams, pancakes, waffles, fruit, and truly a huge selection. The coffee is excellent, prepared with a machine that grinds the beans directly, and the cappuccino is almost better than the one at a coffee shop! But the real added value is undoubtedly the terrace with a sea view: having breakfast in a place like this is an experience that has no competition. Restaurant: and here comes, in our opinion, the real gem of the hotel. Extremely refined dishes, excellent quality ingredients, and truly interesting and never banal combinations. A cuisine that pleasantly surprised us and that absolutely deserves to be tried. The wine list is extensive, and we also greatly appreciated the recommendations from the Manager, who was always attentive and knowledgeable. A special mention goes to the dining room staff. We particularly appreciated those little attentions and courtesies that are seen less and less these days: the waiters who serve the ladies first and who, when you arrive at the restaurant, pull out the chair. They might seem like details, but it is precisely these little kindnesses that radically change the type of experience and make the guest feel truly pampered. Compliments also to the entire kitchen staff, including all those people who work behind the scenes and who often never receive the compliments they deserve. Finding oneself so well taken care of is truly rare. We will definitely recommend it and, if we have the opportunity, we will return very gladly.
