A truly exceptional stay at La Villa del Re All the people here are incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming and accommodating – and for me, this is one of the most important things when staying at a hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for and welcomed. La Villa del Re is a truly beautiful little gem in one of the most spectacular regions of Sardinia. The location is simply breathtaking, surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean gardens and with the sea right in front of you. The private beach is wonderful, and the beautiful pool overlooking the sea creates the perfect setting for complete relaxation. The hotel itself is small, elegant and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. Everything is exceptionally well organised, impeccably clean and maintained to a very high standard. I particularly loved the intimate atmosphere – it never feels crowded or impersonal. The restaurants are another highlight. The food is absolutely outstanding, with excellent ingredients, beautiful presentation and wonderful flavours. Every meal was a pleasure, and the overall dining experience was truly memorable. The pool bar deserves a special mention as well. It is run by such lovely, professional and competent people. They are attentive without ever being intrusive, and will happily bring whatever you order directly to your sun lounger – exactly the kind of thoughtful service that makes a holiday feel special. Another great advantage was the excellent organisation of our activities. The hotel arranged our transfers to and from the hotel, as well as a wonderful boat experience and a horse-riding excursion. Everything was perfectly organised, punctual and completely hassle-free. We could simply enjoy the experiences without having to worry about anything. What impressed me most, however, is the genuine hospitality throughout the entire hotel. Whether at the reception, restaurants, pool, beach or bar, everyone is warm, professional and always ready to help. You feel that the staff genuinely care about making your stay enjoyable. La Villa del Re is the perfect combination of understated luxury, natural beauty, excellent food and, above all, exceptional hospitality. It is peaceful, elegant and wonderfully relaxing – a place where you can truly switch off and enjoy Sardinia at its best. We had a wonderful stay and would return without hesitation. A very special place that I can wholeheartedly recommend.
