Almost three years after the previous stay (for eight nights) we returned, this time for a shorter stay (four nights). The novelty we immediately caught, considering that the entrance and reception were moved to the left. In fact, there is no longer any trace of the large lobby, a clear attestation of the "new course" of this historic hotel in the city, which was born at the time as Motel Agip, which has already undergone a showy overall remodeling: of the three pre-existing floors only the third continues to operate as a hotel, while the other two are about to be converted into offices. And this has brought with it some renovations and restyling (with some reservations about details) in the remaining rooms, of the 54 of the past. All that said, it continues to be a welcoming structure, now even more cared for and with the added value of a truly professional reception staff. But this time we have also recorded a pleasant and important enrichment in the breakfast offer, in terms of quality, variety and quantity, which goes beyond a three-star rating. However, we have noticed that the same small, but annoying shortcomings highlighted three years ago survive: a single glass, during breakfast, for water and any fruit juice; a single saucer where you can choose whether to put the croissant or fruit; absence of cutlery (teaspoons) on the buffet. Repeat iuvant: it takes little to offer a better service. One last detail: perhaps it would be appropriate to review the photos that appear on the official website, because they propose images that are no longer current and a little deceptive.

I have been going to this hotel for years and have always found it good, then it was closed for "renovation" and now I have returned Very friendly staff but... Where is the renovation? The furniture is still the same as before, the bathroom is rather dated and the previous one is very dated, the fridge is turned off and empty, not even a simple bottle of water, the non-existent pillows and the fake mattress or double bed that opens in two when you move Not to mention the breakfast, coffee from the undrinkable machine, sandwiches from at least one day before The surprise comes at the end with the payment of a five star price which this hotel absolutely does not deserve I'm really disappointed

As has happened in other parts of Italy, this dignified hotel has also been reborn from the ashes, so to speak, of what was once the Agip Motel (I stayed there for two nights way back in 1988), of which it has preserved the main structure. The redesigned and modernized "additional" part (hall, bar-restaurant room and conference area) has definitely improved and enhanced the whole, making it more than pleasant for a "modest" 3 star hotel. Which on closer inspection, with a minimum organizational effort (for example by not forcing customers to use a single glass, during breakfast, for water and any fruit juice. Ditto for the saucer where they can choose whether to put the croissant or fruit) might even deserve more. In fact, the rooms are quite comfortable and sufficiently cared for in daily cleaning (we spent eight nights there), even if in several respects they are inevitably "dated", including the bathrooms. The real added value, however, is represented by the staff, predominantly female, available and absolutely courteous. However, it is undeniable that there is a lack of real direction, which at present seems to be "spontaneously" personified by subjects who carry out completely different tasks.
