Beautiful and Brand New Hotel..... Friendly and Attentive Service, Highest Welcoming highly recommended. Experience to repeat.

The stay at the Grand Hotel Poltu Quatu was really special, this year I stayed there on two occasions in early July and early August. The hotel is not fully operational due to major renovations, only 60 rooms out of more than 200 are open. The work, however, does not disturb the guests' stay and is even offered a 20% discount. The structure is really very beautiful, the architect Lesuisse has really enhanced the typical taste of the island with harmony and colors that recall the uncontaminated nature of Sardinia. The structure dominates the port of Poltu Quatu which is the frame, at the center of the hotel there is a large swimming pool with waterfalls and many comfortable sun loungers. Above a smaller pool also with waterfall just outside the room (if you go out you trip helmets in the pool! said a friend). The property offers access to a well-equipped gym the Heaven sporting club where you train with a yacht view. The hotel does not have a private beach and organizes comfortable shuttles to Liscia Ruja beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda, where it offers comfortable umbrellas and sun loungers at the Shardana establishment. The rooms in typical Sardinian style, which will now be renovated, still offer all the comforts expected in a hotel of this category. Bulgari bath products are of high quality, there is a porter service that also accompanies guests on a golf cart, a tribute to the very kind Carlo. The rooms, very clean, faithfully respect what is advertised on the site and often generous upgrades are made. Free mineral water and coffee capsules and hot drinks are offered in the room, I really appreciate this and it is not obvious. Breakfast this year is served directly in the restaurant between the lobby and the pool where in the past there was the Ishter restaurant and offers excellent quality products even if slightly reduced compared to the past, but inevitably the renovation limits the spaces. The structure is really convenient if you want to spend the evening in some local Poltu Quatu and for the privileged location between Porto Cervo or Baja Sardinia everything is really a few minutes by car, taxi or boat. The staff does their best to ensure guests have a wonderful stay and to make them feel at home, thanks to Dorina in reception and a special thanks to Beatrice, very kind, sunny, empathetic, fundamental in a hotel of this level. I look forward to staying there again and look forward to the news next year. The entry into Marriott is rumored to become a W hotel and would be an additional plus to this already special hotel.

More cons than pros I'm afraid. Property is nice, location us good, they provide free luxury shuttle to nearest beach, staff nice and helpful, nice bathroom with Bulgari toiletries. On the other hand there's no Air-conditioning in the room, room is small for the money paid, construction noises at the pool, have to pay right away for items consumed (can't sign on the room). Breakfast variety of items very limited although they had a nice selection of good quality fruit. The cherry on the cake was when they made us sign a contract for iron and ironing board like we're buying a house 😄....not expected in a hotel where you pay 500 to 800 eur per night. Not recommended. Highly overpriced for the product offered.
